There is one thing that no one can hide when you look them in the eye: how hungry they are on the inside. Even sociopaths/psychopaths (a.k.a. masters of faking) are not able to fake it for long. That's why people claim that the eye is the mirror of the soul. It actually tells you what is lacking in the soul. And when a soul lacks a great deal, you should be aware of the nightmare ahead of you if you were to stay and watch the hungry eyes try & fail to fill the hollow.
